New hope regarding changing the dollar exchange rates in the 2021 budget

The Parliamentary Economic and Investment Committee confirmed, on Saturday, that Parliament will issue recommendations regarding the exchange rate of the dollar in the 2021 budget, after the Finance Committee announced changes that included all budget joints except for the price of the dollar and keeping it unchanged.
Committee member Mazen Al-Faily said in a press statement, "The House of Representatives will submit recommendations in the budget regarding the exchange rate of the dollar."
Al-Faily added, "It is up to the government to adhere to the recommendations or not," noting that
"the powers of the central bank to draw fiscal and monetary policy and determine the exchange rate."
He pointed out that "discussions are still continuing on the high price of the dollar against the Iraqi dinar, which affected many segments of Iraqi society."
The deputy of the coalition of Iraqis, Hassan Khatti, confirmed in a previous statement that the exchange rate of the dollar against the Iraqi dinar will not remain constant, according to what was set in the 2021 budget.
