Baghdad {: News} studied the Euphrates and the Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari, with UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon reports to be provided by Ki-moon on the exit of Iraq from Chapter VII.
The Foreign Ministry statement that "Zebari met on the sidelines of the International Conference on Afghanistan held in Bonn, Germany, Ban Ki-moon, Secretary General of the United Nations, and during the meeting to review the relationship between Iraq and the General Secretariat of the United Nations, particularly that the Secretary-General will present during this month of three reports on the relationship between Iraq and the General Secretariat on some issues remaining from the provisions of Chapter VII. "
Iraq has been suffering under Chapter VII since the early nineties because of the sanctions imposed on the former regime against the backdrop of the invasion of Kuwait.
The statement said that "the meeting referred to the Prime Minister's visit expected visit to the United States of America, and what can emerge from this visit in terms of development of the relationship between Iraq and the United States and implications for Iraq's relationship with the UN, particularly in the area of the withdrawal of U.S. forces from Iraq by the end of this year 2011.
