The economic expert, Salama Sumaisem, confirmed today, Friday, that
there is no possibility of restoring the dollar exchange rate before the completion of five years, according to the white paper program.
Sumaisem said in a statement to (Baghdad Today), that
"the white paper was approved with governmental and parliamentary approval, and the international organizations that are associated with Iraq with economic agreements regarding loans or reform programs are aware of the content of the white paper."
And she added, "The work of the white paper was determined by a period of 5 years, one of which remained, and 4 years remained."
Sumaisem added, "The collection of parliamentary signatures to restore the exchange rate will not change anything.
Rather, it is just attempts by some members of Parliament to change the exchange rate,
but in the end it will not change before the specified 5 years."
