BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: Iraqi Prime Minister's Adviser for National Reconciliation, Amer al-Khuza'e has announced
on Thursday the success of the national reconciliation process with the majority of the armed forces, most of who had
joined the political process.
"The majority of the armed detachments have entered the political process and threw out their arms, but for a few numbers
of those detachments, majority of who are outside Iraq," Khuza'e said in a speech in an annual festival for reconciliation.
He said that "only 150 individuals from the 'Islamic Army' have remained along with 100 from the Mujahedin Army and
few numbers of Ansar al-Sunna and the 20th Revolution's Detachments have remained outside the reconciliation."
Khuza'e said: "that the only organization that is kept outside the National Reconciliation is the Baath Party, which is
considered illegal according to Article 7 of the Iraqi Constitution, which treats it according to the Law on Questioning
& Justice and al-Qaeda Organization that considers everybody as Kafir (Unbelievers) and there is no possibility to
negotiate with them."
On his part, the Chieftain of the extremist al-Jihadia Group, Mahdi al-Sumeida'e, has said that "time has come to open
the doors of peace and tranquility," pointing out that "the end of the occupation is the occasion for reconciliation, end of
sectarianism and the black page of Iraq's history, caused by the occupation."
Sumeida'e called for "non-ignorance of any party of the Iraqis by another party or treating the other party with sarcasm,"
warning that such act "shall open doors for those who don't want goodness for this country and aims at igniting the
situation once again.
