Hundreds of people celebrated the Wasit province, on Friday, a day of honor, the evacuation of U.S. forces from Iraq, in what was seen by local officials and citizens of this event today, the most prominent political and security during the current year, stressing the fact that it reflected the ability of Iraqi forces to take over security functions.
The deputy governor of Wasit for Cultural Affairs Haider Jassim Mohammed said, "Oasis celebrations in the central city of Kut saw, today, to celebrate a mass and a large popular on the occasion of loyalty, and the evacuation of U.S. forces from Iraqi territory," noting that "this ceremony attended by hundreds of citizens of the province and clerics and sheikhs clans, as well as some political forces and currents of religious and local government officials in the executive and legislative Sulttaha.
