"The taking over of the complete security control by the Iraqi government, following the withdrawal of the American Forces at the beginning of the New Year, is a chance to strengthen the democratically-elected institutions in the country," he said, confirming that the UN Assistance Mission in Iraq (UNAMI) "is ready to consult with the Iraqi Leaderships and present necessary assistance for them."
