President Talabani and Mr. Hakim, confirming the need for a large national interests above narrow partisan ambitions

Said President Jalal Talabani, head of the Supreme Islamic Iraqi al-Hakim need to put national interests above all tendencies greed and narrow factional interests.
A statement from the presidency: "President Talabani met with Mr. Hakim on Thursday evening, and reviewed the results of his meetings with intensive with the Prime Minister and Chairman of the House of Representatives and representatives of the forces and other political blocs to exchange views with them on the need to work together to narrow the areas of disagreement and expand the circle of dialogue and understanding."
The statement added that: "During the meeting it was stressed on the need to be accountable for the higher national interests and the development of major national trends, above all narrow factional interests and ambitions, to protect the political process and develop and strengthen the Iraqi house."
For his part, Mr. Hakim expressed his support for the efforts exerted by President Talabani to raise the political parties and the national conference was held to resolve contentious issues between the parties in the current political process. "
The other hand, said in a statement to the office of Mr. Hakim for this meeting, Talabani and Hakim discussed political developments in Iraq, as well as discuss the latest developments in the region.
The statement added that he had been during the meeting, emphasis on sustaining the language of dialogue among all political forces, and put the national interest in discussing outstanding issues between political parties
