The news reports have talked about the semi-agreement within the National Alliance on the nomination of the President of Parliament, former Mahmoud al-Mashhadani, rather than al-Mutlaq, who made Maliki's earlier request for a no-confidence vote after he called him a dictator in front of the media.
Mutlaq is one of six leaders of the Iraqi list, a leader of the National Dialogue Front and the filling of parliamentary seats in the first parliamentary session.
Washington warns its nationals against travel to Iraq
