A security source said early Sunday, the commander of the armed forces, Nouri al-Maliki has decided to keep the team Qassim Atta in office until further notice, denying what media reported on his dismissal.
The source said in an interview for "Alsumaria News", al-Maliki "decided after a meeting, today, a spokesman for the Office of the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces team Qassim Atta in office for a new period and until further notice," pointing to "the invalidity of reports that indicated his dismissal from office ".
The source, who asked not to be named, said, "Atta exercise routine tasks, speaking on behalf of the Office of the Adjutant General of the Armed Forces."
The number of media reported that Maliki instructed to transfer the team Qassim Atta to another place in the General Command of the Armed Forces after he decided to remove him from the position of spokesman for the Office of the Adjutant General of the armed forces.
