BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: Iraqi Premier Nouri al-Maliki expressed today his satisfaction and readiness to receive all participants for the coming Arab Summit to be held in Baghdad, expressing hopes that it will a successful one.
In a statement released by his office upon receiving Arab League Assistant Secretary General Ahmed bin Hilli, he stressed the importance of developing Arab Summit deliberations and discussing cooperation in political, economic, security and social spheres.
Maliki expressed Iraqi support for the Arab League initiative on the Syrian crisis.
The statement added that Bin Hilli informed Maliki that all Arab countries will attend the Summit on higher levels for most of the Arab countries, compared to previous summits.
Bin Hilli will discuss with Iraqi foreign Minister the final touches for the Summit and the official invitations to be sent to Arab officials, the statement added.
