Ministry of Construction and invites international companies to participate in the preparation of a plan to develop transport for the next twenty years

Called on the Ministry of Construction and Housing on Tuesday the major specialized international companies to submit proposals to provide consulting services to prepare a comprehensive plan to develop an integrated transport system multi-media in Iraq for the next twenty years.
And the transfer of a press statement the Ministry said, "This huge project will be implemented with funding from the World Bank loan to the Ministry of Construction and Housing in collaboration with the Ministries of Transport and Planning and Finance, Works and Municipalities and the Secretariat of the capital.
The ministry has set the deadline for delivery of presentations on 20 next February and will be selected from a list of six companies are invited to submit request for proposals at the end of February 2012 and will be signing a contract with the winning bidder in June, 2012
The ministry said that the work will be the configuration immediately afterwards. It is expected to be completed this task in full within a period of 15 months
She and the Ministry of Construction and Housing would like to choose a short list of companies or consortia Partnership Advisory qualified to provide consulting services to prepare a comprehensive plan for the transport sector for the years to the next twenty, including plans of long-term policies and implementation tools of the relationship as well as a plan for a period of 5 years for priority investment and development of facilities and infrastructure current for the transport sector.
This project includes all branches of transport (roads, railways, ports, aviation, commercial outlets, facilities, multi-media, and public transport) and includes the preparation of plans, developmental for the years to the next twenty, including plans of long-term policies and implementation tools of the relationship in addition to five-year plan of investments that have a priority and the development of infrastructure and existing facilities for transportation. / / 5
