Baghdad (AIN) -MP Abdul Amir Kassar of Ahrar Bloc within the Iraqi National Alliance considered the national conference a step towards settling the current political crisis.
In a statement for All Iraq News Agency (AIN) he expected the success of the meeting due to the "positive initiatives given by some political blocs."
He pointed out that "The meeting will discuss many pending files but all of them."
The president Jalal Talabani called for holding a national conference for all political blocs then the name was changed later into a national meeting to end the differences among political blocs.
The date and place of the meeting has not been designated yet but it is expected that the date will be determined during today, Monday, preparation meeting.
The political process witnesses complicated disputes that coincided with the US troops' withdrawal especially between the Iraqiya Slate and the State of Law Coalition when the IS decided to suspend attendance of its MPs to parliament sessions to protest “marginalization and monopolization policies” adopted by the Iraqi government and the accusations against the guards of the Vice-President, Tariq al-Hashimi for being involved in terrorism in addition to Maliki’s decision to dismiss his deputy Salih al-Mutleg. /End
