The Interior Ministry announced on Wednesday, the day of the Arab summit in Baghdad on 29 March next holiday, while confirming that the Supreme Security Committee overseeing the Summit has developed a plan to ensure the full protection of the heads of the Arabs and all the guests.
The head of the Higher Security Committee for the Arab summit team Aiden Khaled said in an interview for "Alsumaria News", "Day of the Arab summit will be an official holiday, in order to prevent traffic jams," revealing a "security plan to protect all officials and heads of state who will participate in the summit from the moment of their arrival until their departure from the territory of Iraq. "
Khalid explained that "the plan includes securing Baghdad International Airport, roads, and place of residence of the guests and the meetings of Ministers of Economy and Foreign Affairs and heads of state," adding that "security measures will be tightened in the capital Baghdad, but without closing the streets."
He pointed to Khalid, "the allocation of operating room oversees the security of the summit to deal with any potential challenge," asserting that "the ministry plans for the offensive mission of private security summit in Baghdad in full after a few days."
