"Gate of Iraq" BAGHDAD - The leader of the Kurdistan Alliance, Mahmoud Othman, said Thursday that the statement made by the cleric Moqtada al-Sadr on Bahrain, which renewed its support for the protesters' demands against their government, embarrass the Iraqi government, while calling for the State of Bahrain to ignore the attitudes of informal and taking only the official position of Iraq.
Osman said, "the right of Mr. Muqtada al-Sadr to express his opinion on any issue, including the issue of Bahrain, especially in the presence of opposition Bahraini Shia persecuted and defend them," adding, "but this situation could embarrass the Iraqi government."
He called on the government of Bahrain to Osman to "take positions based on the opinion of the Iraqi government official and not the opinion of blocks or political or religious leaders," stressing at the same time the right of those leaders to express their opinion.
The cleric Moqtada al-Sadr renewed, on Wednesday (February 8, 2012), support for the movements of the Bahraini people against the government, in what was considered that the prejudice to the certificate of religious Bahraini Isa Qassem, contrary to all norms of religious, political, and threatened to stand with all our strength in case that happens.
