Talabani: We seek to deepen ties with Iran in order to serve the security and regional cooperation
BAGHDAD / Baghdadiya News / .. Said President Jalal Talabani said Iraq is seeking to deepen ties with Iran in order to serve the security and regional cooperation
Through a cable of congratulations to President Ahmadinejad on the occasion of the Islamic revolution.
A statement issued by the Presidency received / Baghdadiya News / copy of it: that Talabani sent a telegram of congratulations to President of Islamic Republic of Iran Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on the occasion of the anniversary of the victory of Islamic revolution in Iran.
According to the statement, Talabani said: on the anniversary of the victory of Islamic revolution in Iran, I am pleased to express to you, on behalf of the Iraqi people and myself personally, my most sincere congratulations and blessings brotherly.
Talabani said that the neighborly relations and cooperation between our two countries based on the foundations of well-established historical, religious, cultural, stressing that the Republic of Iraq is seeking to deepen and expand these relations in all fields for the benefit of the two peoples of Iraq and Iran and to serve the cause of establishing security, stability and regional cooperation.
The Iraqi Foreign Ministry has summoned the Iranian ambassador to tell him what to avoid souring relations between the two countries, as foreign minister visited the Iranian embassy to congratulate the anniversary of the revolution.
A statement issued yesterday received external / Baghdadiya News / copy of it: and called the undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, however, Abawi ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Iran in Baghdad, Hassan Dnaúa fled at the headquarters of the Foreign Ministry on 07.02.2012.
The statement added: During the meeting, special focus on the most important issues related to bilateral relations that will promote and develop mutual relations in the interest of the two countries and two peoples, two neighbors.
The statement continued: As to shed light on the relationship with the press and the media in Iraq to avoid what comes out of things disturb or harm to the positive relations between the two countries
In another statement, said Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari said he visited today the Embassy of Islamic Republic of Iran in Baghdad to congratulate the anniversary of the Iranian revolution and was met with Iranian Ambassador Hassan fled Dnaúa and staff of the embassy.
The statement said that Zebari congratulated to the Iranian government and the Iranian people on the occasion.
For his part, Iranian Ambassador expressed his thanks and appreciation for the visit, which represents the highest-level visit by an Iraqi official of the Iranian Embassy. / Finished / 21 /
