Parliament and the Government of the day discussing the law on governorates to give wider powers

{Baghdad, Euphrates News} A member of the Committee of the regions and provinces parliamentary Mansour al-Tamimi, that his committee and the Ministries of State for Parliamentary Affairs and the provinces will be discussed today, the powers of the provinces.
He said Tamimi, told the News} {Euphrates on Wednesday that "the Committee of the Regions and the provinces and the Ministries of State for Parliamentary Affairs and Provincial Affairs and Chairman of the State Council today will discuss the Law No. 21 of the governorates not organized province."
Committee member said that "after the discussion of this law will be to formulate a final, and then discussed in the House of Representatives in preparation for approval."
He said Tamimi, that "the powers granted to the provincial councils under this law more than the powers granted by the federal."
Officials in local governments have called for the House of Representatives passage of the new provincial law and reviewing the law 21 of 2008, demanding the granting of governorates not organized province wide powers and financial management to be able to implement and accomplish plans and service delivery.
