Baghdad {: News} Euphrates announced a joint committee of members of the National Alliance and the Kurdistan National Congress headed by the President on the status of Ahmad Chalabi, a new mechanism for the distribution of land to housing poor families.
Chalabi said at a news conference attended by the correspondent of the News Agency {Euphrates} on Saturday that "We formed a committee of MPs before the mass of citizens and the rule of law and the Kurdistan Alliance calls on the government to allocate pieces of land for housing poor families that do not have a home for it."
He explained that "we also demanded that the State bears the cost of spare land and construction financing terms that amount to be paid by the citizen on the {30} years and by {200} thousand dinars per month."
