Baghdad (AIN) –MP Ahmed al-Chalabi from the Iraqi National Alliance revealed the presence of huge differences in the final statement of 2009.

Al-Chalabi said in a statement to (AIN) that “The Financial Supervisisory Council mentioned in its report that about 70 trillion and 148 billion IQD withi the budget of 2009 are registered as unclosed loans and advances not closed yet and we do not know where and how it was spent."

“The final statements raised the problem rather than solving it," he added, asking the government to clarify facts about this large amount of money."

The members of the Parliament had called to investigate the issue of "spending 7 trillion IQD in 2009 without a legal reason to spend it," adding that "These funds were spent separately of the financial allocations which contradicted with the General Budget Law and the Public Loans Management Law No. 95 of 2004." /End
