Vice-Maliki's coalition calls for Parliament to approve the project to build a direct role for the poor

Deputy called for a coalition of state law, led by Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, on Wednesday, the parliament to approve the construction of the direct role of the poor from the current year budget, criticizing the majority of the House of Representatives directed to refer the project to implement the method of payment on credit by foreign companies as it is "guaranteed."
The MP said the province of Diwaniya, Ihsan Al-Awadi said in an interview for "Alsumaria News", "the members of the Iraqi Council of Representatives in general and the Finance Committee in particular the approval of the immediate start of the first phase of the project of building housing units for the poor in all parts of Iraq from the budget of the year 2012 the current."
Awadi added that "preliminary estimates for the project up to two thousand billion Iraqi dinars," adding that "the prevalent opinion in the Council refer the project with the implementation of the method of payment on credit by foreign companies."
The MP-Awadi, the "pay on credit method is guaranteed to implement the project for lack of companies that would like to work in Iraq in this format, leading to delay implementation for other years," noting that "the postponement of solving the problem of housing for low-income people will deteriorate and the number will increase, especially with the presence of 23% of the the Iraqi people under the poverty line, according to statistics of the Ministry of Planning. "
Awadi explained that the "Forum of the provinces that experienced a large exodus over the years, from areas where increased rates of violence, exacerbating the housing crisis and rising prices and increasing slums in it."
The Iraqi Council of Representatives continue to discuss the draft budget law of 2012 now, and hopefully vote on it tomorrow (February 23 present).
The Iraqi Ministry of Planning announced (22 September 2011), that the financial budget for the year 2012, will be between $ 112 and $ 120 billion, confirming that 35% of which are earmarked for the investment budget, while the budget year 201,181,900,000,000 dollar deficit of $ 13.3 billion .
Iraq has suffered from a severe housing crisis due to the increasing number of its population, compared with the number of residential complexes, in addition to the inability of citizens with limited income from the construction of housing units of its own, because of the high cost of land and building materials.
