Maliki discusses with the crisis cell monitoring the borders

Baghdad (NINA) – Prime Minister, Nouri Al Maliki, discussed with the crisis cell the issue of monitoring the borders, especially the Syrian borders.
A statement issued by Maliki’s office quoted him as saying, during his meeting with the crisis cell present by Acting Minister of Defense, Sadoun Al Dulaimi, the Borders Guards Chief and a number of senior officers in the army and security leaders, “it is necessary to adopt the utmost levels of discipline, especially on the Iraqi-Syrian borders to stop any activity that could affect Iraq’s security or violated the general policy of Iraq of not interfering in other countries’ internal affairs.”
The statement added “the meeting adopted a number of procedures to increase the monitor of the borders and prevent any infiltration or violation as well as to close all the gaps that could be exploited by the terrorists to commit their crimes.” /End/
