Baghdad (AIN) –MP Amir al-Kinani of Ahrar Bloc said that “There are many reservations about the late payment policy.”
Kinani added in a statement to (AIN) on Tuesday that “There are two issues raised over the late payment policy; it will tie the government with debts in the future and it might not give other international companies the chance to compete on some project planned by the government.”
The Iraqi Parliament voted on the 23rd of February 2012 on the general budget of 2012 but it canceled article [36] which is related to the projects’ late payment.
The Iraqi Government planned to appeal the changes made by the Parliament on the budget, such as canceling the late payment project for the companies, in the Federal Court. /End/
