Najaf (AIN) –The leader of the Sadr Trend called his followers to demonstrate on the 19th of March to demand the general rights.
In his response to a question by his followers whether they should demonstrate on April 9th to celebrate withdrawal of the US troops from Iraq, he said “I support demonstrating which is necessary in this time if it is rational and uniting among the Iraqi People.”
He added “Let the date of the demonstration be on the March 19th instead of April 9th,” and he urged to call this day as “The day of the suppressed citizens,” to call on this day for the “Rights, security, work and dignity in a peaceful way.”
Al-Sadr called his followers to avoid calling this demonstration as “Sadrist, Shiite or partisan, but rather public demonstration to allow all Iraqi communities to participate in this demonstration.”
Earlier, Muqtada al-Sadr expressed his expectations that “The Sadrists demonstrations on the April 9th of year might not be effective anymore as it used to be.” /End/
