Announced that the Foreign Relations Committee in the House of Representatives, Monday, they discussed with the ambassadors of European countries accredited to Iraq, preparations for the Arab summit scheduled to take place in Baghdad and the National Conference as well as Iraq's position on the crisis in Syria and Bahrain.
The head of the Committee Hamoudi said in an interview for "Alsumaria News", "the Committee hosted today a number of ambassadors of European countries accredited to Iraq," noting that "the meeting, they discussed the latest developments on both the Iraqi and Arab and the ongoing preparations to host the Arab summit and topics that will be which. "
The Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari announced, the first of February 2012, that the next Arab Summit to be held in Baghdad on 29 March current, stressing that the government is serious about providing security for the leaders and co-chairs at the top, as Deputy Secretary-General of the Arab League, Ahmed Ben Helli, that Iraq is capable of success of the Arab summit, and that he is entering a phase during which he will head the Arab action.
He said Hamoudi that "The meeting also discussed the political crisis between the Iraqi parties and the holding of the national meeting and the formation of regions and the current security situation," adding that "it was discussed the Iraqi position on current events in Syria, Bahrain and the Iranian nuclear issue and the recent demonstrations that came out in support of the people of Bahrain and the latest developments in the relations Iraqi-Kuwaiti. "
