Kuwait's finance minister: will drop the debt and compensation and some land will turn to Iraq

BAGHDAD (Iba) ... Revealed Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister of Kuwait Mustafa Jassem, said that the meetings of the Arab summit was fruitful for both sides of Iraq and Kuwait, where it was agreed to bring down Iraq's debt and reparations for Iraq's recognition of Kuwait's borders according to UN resolution 883 of 1993 as well as recognition marks the border between the two countries.
Jassim said in a press statement that Kuwait will return some land of Iraq from the area of Safwan, Umm Qasr, so we are committed to international conventions between the two countries and re-regional areas of water.
He added that consultations will take place to strengthen relations between the two countries that Iraq and Kuwait are linked by fraternal relations, economic and political, both influential in the Gulf region. (End)
