The Economic Adviser Abdullahi Haji Said "As a representative of President Talabani announced that we are trying to give the majority of the projects for companies of Iran," adding that "Iraq is trying to make Iran's largest trading partner for him."
He stressed that "there are about 1600 trading company active in the Kurdistan region." He continued, "We have a huge and long-standing relationship with Iranian companies not only relations between Iran and the Kurdistan region, but also with Iraq and in the central and southern governorates of it.
Haji said that "he will be in the near future economic composition of the three regions along the border between Iran and the region is expected to double trade relations between the two sides to reach 4 billion dollars between Iran and the Government of the Territory."
