Baghdad – features & status of the Iraqi media network-political sources close to the Government for the "ITC features & Iraqi information network", said Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki and Kurdish leader Saleh discussed ways of resolving differences between Baghdad and Erbil on in accordance with the Constitution.
The sources said: "the atmosphere of the meeting was positive, and saw a convergence of views in some files", indicating that oil has been studied as files and security in disputed areas.
The sources confirmed that the meeting will pave the way for formal talks between the Centre and the Kurdistan region.
It was Ali al-Mosawi, a top aide to Prime Minister was announced by Al-Maliki meeting Deputy Secretary-General of the PUK's Barham Salih Tuesday night.
Al-Musawi said in a press release: "Barham Saleh asked in earlier talks with Al-Maliki", stating that "meetings between the two sides have continued, and continue.
The Barham Salih arrived in Baghdad on Monday, informed sources said that the benefit of carrying Kurdish initiative to resolve the crisis between the Central Government and Kurdistan.
The Kurdistan region is the Supreme Council for dialogue with the Federal Government after last week's meeting, chaired by the President of the Parliament of Kurdistan Arslan Baez in the presence of the head of Government and political parties Secretariat with representatives of parliamentary blocs in the Parliament of Kurdistan.
In turn, the Kurdistan Alliance bloc in the Chamber of deputies that a visit to Baghdad is currently the Deputy Secretary General of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) is an important contribution to tackling the current political crisis.
