Said the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad, said Washington supports any efforts aimed at ending the current crisis.
The embassy spokesman said Frank Snfr in response to a query from the "Radio Sawa" about the U.S. role in resolving the crisis, said that his country supports Iraq's efforts in creating the atmosphere in order to reach solutions compatible with the Iraqi constitution and democratic means.
The leader of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) just Broawi had reported yesterday the presence of U.S. mediation to settle the dispute between the federal government and the Kurdistan Region. He pointed out that U.S. Vice President Joseph Biden held telephone conversations with Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki and Kurdish regional President Massoud Barzani in this regard.
