Import 34 tons of gold to the Kurdistan region in seven months

Arbil August 26 / August (Rn) - An official source at the Directorate of Quality Control for gold jewelry Kurdistan province, on Sunday, for import about 34 tons of gold to the region during the past seven months of 2012 the current, pointing out that there is in the region now 1359 stores to sell and Goldsmith.

The director of quality control for gold in the province, Bakr Aziz, told the Kurdish news agency (Rn) that "during the past seven months, was imported about 34 tons of gold to the Kurdistan region, through the airports in Erbil and Sulaymaniyah international."



He added that he "was imported four thousand and 697 kg of gold during the months of January and February and March by the Erbil International Airport, as seen months of April and May and June import five thousand and 788 kg of gold, either in the month of July has been imported 1 891 kg of gold" .

He reviewed Aziz fuller details by saying that he "was imported 1 452 kg of gold during the months of January and February and March by Sulaimaniya airport international, 10 and 813 kg of gold during the months of April and May and June, while reached amount to three thousand and 119 kg in the month of July" .

He pointed out that "there are currently in the region 1 359 shop and Goldsmith," noting that "454 of those stores located in the province of Arbil and 510 in the province of Sulaimaniyah and 395 in Dohuk."

According to statistical quality control of the Directorate of gold jewelry province of Kurdistan, the Kurdistan imported markets over the past year 2011, about 17 tons of gold and more than five tons of silver.

And give citizens in the Kurdistan region of considerable interest in gold, especially from thermoplastic Kurdish women, and turn to many citizens in the store instead of cash.
