Iraqi Parliament hosts Prime Minister Nuri Al Maliki

Iraqi Parliament hosts on Saturday Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri Al Maliki to discuss the ministerial reduction plan in a session that will be attended by Iraqiya leader Iyad Allawi, a parliamentary source said.

The 15th session held on Saturday morning headed by Parliament Speaker Ousama Al Nujaifi and attended by 222 lawmakers includes voting on the decision of disbanded revolutionary command council no 96 for the year 1994 and the first read out of parties draft law in addition to the second read out of the Minerals and Industry Ministry draft law.

Head of political parties meeting that was due on Saturday was aimed to discuss the possibility of asking the US military to extend its term in Iraq till after 2011. The meeting was expected as well to discuss the implementation of Arbil agreement and security ministries issue. The meeting of Iraqi President Jalal Talabani was adjourned however due to the president’s commitment to pay his condolences to Kurdistan leader Massoud Barazani over his mother’s death, Iraqiya spokeswoman Maysoun Al Damlouji told Alsumarianews.
