Islamic Dawa Party renews elected Maliki as Secretary-General of the party for the third time

BAGHDAD (Iba) ... renewed the Islamic Dawa Party elected Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki as Secretary-General has for the third time, and came during the end of the Sixteenth Party Congress, which ended its work in Baghdad on Saturday evening.

Nuri al-Maliki stressed Secretary General of the Islamic Dawa Party and the Prime Minister during a speech at the opening of the conference: the national identity and the principle of tolerance must be a deterrent bulwark against all Baathist schemes and terrorist intending to disrupt the unity of Iraq and thwart political experience.
He added that political pluralism must adopt the national culture and the spirit of tolerance in order to reach the aspirations of the citizens because a complementary responsibility.
This is the third time that occupies the prime position of Secretary General of the Islamic Dawa Party, which held the position during the election in Fourteenth Congress, which was held in 2007, which is the first conference of the party held inside Iraq after 2003, to renew the party elected Maliki as Secretary-General him in 2009.
