Iraqi person appointed as Deputy Chairman of EDIO

Baghdad (AIN) –The Economic Development International Organization announced appointing the Iraqi Wisam Jasim al-Karkhi as the deputy chairman of the EDIO.
The Patriotic union of Kurdistan website quoted Karkhi as saying in press statement "After one year of my appointment as the Ambassador for the Economic Development International Organization to Iraq, Saudi Arabia and Kurdistan Region, I was appointed as the first Iraqi person at the post of the Deputy Chairman of the Organization.''
"The Economic Development International Organization is an economic organization with diplomatic rights according to Vienna Convention of 1961, that works to develop the infrastructure in more than 40 countries by establishing development projects that target health, education and small projects,'' the statement added.
