Announced the Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the Organization of the United Nations in Iraq Martin Kobler resolve the issue of the demarcation of the land border between Iraq and Kuwait, called on the local government in Basra to accelerate to rid Iraq of Chapter VII. So said the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers to form a committee to estimate the value of agricultural yields per acre of farm located within the border region between Iraq and Kuwait as of princely lands for the purpose of compensating farmers contractors.
He Kobler that (relations between Iraq and Kuwait have seen many developments in the last term, but the most important is to solve the problem of border that worry the Kuwaiti side), explaining that the (Iraq wants to get out of Chapter VII at the earliest, but the only way to achieve this is to fully meet its obligations).
For his part, Abdul Samad during the conference that (houses three that were hampering install demarcation between Iraq and Kuwait have been demolished have allowed for owners demolish themselves at their request), explaining that the (families of the three have been allocated financial compensation to enable them to provide alternative housing while building a residential complex for those affected by the demarcation of the border), and Abdul Samad pointed out that the (demolition of three houses in the Umm Qasr area means to resolve the issue of the demarcation of the land border between the two countries, in the light of hope from the United Nations to expedite remove Iraq from Chapter VII).
The Iraqi teams were accompanied by a large security forces demolished three houses in the area of Umm Qasr. The sources said yesterday that (the process of demolition of houses coincided with the visit of Chairman of the Kuwaiti Olympic Committee Ahmad al-Fahd Sports City in the province of Basra).
