COI: Baghdad International Forum work starts on the eighth of May

BAGHDAD (Iba) .. begins in Baghdad, the eighth day of May next business Baghdad International Forum under the slogan (assessment of anti-corruption strategy and asset recovery ... a comprehensive vision towards building a fair society).
The statement said the Integrity Commission participate in forum discussions by representatives of the institutions charged with fighting corruption in a number of countries in the world and the parties to governmental and non-governmental organizations and international and regional organizations and local and international experts in addition to the United Nations Office for the fight against crime and corruption.
And displays a collection of participants experiences from their countries in the fight against corruption and plans to deploy a culture of integrity as a preventive measure as well as the means of deterrence against squatters on public money and abuse their positions and powers and programs in bilateral and regional cooperation to recover looted money and restore corrupt fugitives outside the borders and aspects of the utilization of items and paragraphs United Nations Convention to fight corruption in the exchange of experiences and information with countries that have ratified the Convention, which passed in 2003 and Iraq ratified in 2007 along with (185) Other country.
The Iraqi delegation to the forum, organized by the Integrity Commission in collaboration with UNDP, the United Nations a detailed report to his national anti-corruption since the fall of the dictatorial regime in 2003 and strides made by the Commission on Public Integrity on the road to assume this responsibility and aspects of its cooperation with national stakeholders in this issue كالمجلس Top anti-corruption and the Office of Financial Supervision and offices of inspectors general and the Parliamentary Integrity Committee and the Supreme Judicial Council.
The report focuses on steps Iraq mission on the road to the implementation of the commitments contained in the United Nations Convention against Corruption, which is praised by experts, Malaysia and Jordan, the two countries charged with reviewing vocabulary that response in addition to a tribute to experts, the United Nations Office for the fight against corruption who described these steps as distinctive among the 12 countries ahead in the implementation of those programs voluntarily initiated steps to review their commitment to the International Convention.
It is expected to witness the corridors of the venue of the Forum series of meetings of bilateral and multilateral agreements between Iraq and the number of participating countries for framing formats of cooperation in the areas of anti-corruption and cooperation in the recovery of stolen money and wanted fugitives and the exchange of experiences and information in the areas of implementation of the International Convention against Corruption.
