Allawi: sectarian political control of Iraq

Iraq was seen at the beginning of this year, the largest demonstrations since the U.S. occupation, which toppled Saddam Hussein in 2003, inspired by the thousands of Iraqis protest movements in the Arab world, denouncing the inefficiency of the political class, as saying.
The demonstrations prompted Maliki to announce on February 27 that it will host will be announced after 100 days of that date, failures and successes of each minister, alluding to the possibility of expulsion of the time ministers or officials in their ministries. He also announced then a package of reforms, particularly concerning the fight against corruption and the distribution of 280 thousand government jobs and reduce the retirement age.
He said Allawi, Maliki has forgotten that he was still secretary of defense and minister of interior and minister of national security and intelligence chief, did not disclose its procedures in the ministries and institutions, accusing him of being relied on foreign, and supported by Iran to be prime minister.
He held the international community the responsibility to protect Iraq from Iran's interference and ensure a balance of the political process, which lost its balance, stressing that the international community bears a great responsibility for what is happening in Iraq. (End)
