Health reasons for Alawi's non-participation in "symbolic" meeting, Movement

BAGHDAD/ Aswat al-Iraq: National Wifaq Movement announced today that the non-attendance of its leader Iyad Alawi to the "symbolic" meeting was due to "health conditions".
Chairman of the Higher Islamic Council Amar al-Hakeem made an initiative to convene the political blocs in a "symbolic" meeting to pacify the Iraqi public of the current deteriorating conditions.
Media officer of the movement added that Alawi and Hakeem stressed, in phone call, the importance to solve pending questions through dialogue.
Earlier, the Islamic Council announced the acceptance of Alawi to attend the meeting.
The participants agreed to unify stands and to face the problems confronting the country.
