Quest to join the World Trade Organization and the protection of the domestic product of imported goods.
Held at the headquarters of the Iraqi Federation of Industries on Monday, 02/11/2014 committee meeting the initial presentation of the items to study the proposed tariff for imported materials in order to negotiate with members of the World Trade Organization.
The meeting discussed a number of topics aimed at raising the limit ratios tariff for imported goods in order to protect the domestic product in the industrial and agricultural sectors, taking into account the quality and technical specifications, as well as taking into account the importance of the imported article of the Iraqi society, taking aspects of ideological and moral into account to prevent facilitate entry Goods that are inconsistent with these aspects.
The cross-President of the Union for the viewpoint of the Union about the need to raise tariffs for goods that can the industrial sector of the Iraqi local coverage currently and in the future for up to 200% to promote local industry and protect it from any unequal competition.
