Erbil / NINA /-- Spokesman for the Kurdish Peshmerga forces, Jabar Yawar, said;” withdrawal of U.S. troops from the joint checkpoints has led to increased violence in the disputed areas.
Yawar said to NINA reporter:***** "The process of the gradual withdrawal of U.S. troops from checkpoints in the disputed areas such as Diyala and Mosul and Kirkuk led to escalation of terrorist operations, especially in Diyala, confirming need to security balance in these areas."*****
He pointed out that the Kurdistan Region welcomes U.S. troops or part to stay, in case the Iraqi government agreed to. *******
