MP: Peshmerga salaries should be paid from the 17% share of Kurdistan

BAGHDAD / NINA / The MP, of the State of Law coalition, Ibrahim al-Rikabi confirmed that the / Peshmerga / salaries should be paid from the 17% of the share of Kurdistan region from the budget, not from the federal government.
He told the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA / that "Kurdistan Regional Government's demands of the / Peshmerga / salaries is illegal , because the federal government has allocated 17% of the state budget for the province, and it is significant compared to other governorates , and the Peshmerga should be paid from this share. "
He added, "The federal government is not obliged to pay the Peshmerga as it is not linked to Iraq's Interior Ministry."/ End
