Iraq is seeking to develop its oil industry

Shahristani said that “Iraq could export three million and 200 thousand barrels per day if the resumption of oil exports through the northern fields to Turkey, and the commitment of the Kurdistan region to export 400 thousand barrels,” pointing out that “the Kirkuk oilfields can export 400 thousand barrels per day, as well as Kurdistan region can export the same amount of fields. ”
Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs, that “the federal government has provided a lot of initiatives for the Kurdistan region in order to ensure the resumption of oil exports from the fields,” adding, “but these initiatives have not translated on the ground, despite the welcome by the region.”
