BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: *****Premier Nouri al-Maliki denied Iraqi desire to keep any U.S.
base *****after of the withdrawal of the American force, *****stressing that the withdrawal will take place in time at the end of this year, *****as reported in a statement by his office.*****
The statement, quoted Maliki in a press interview, confirmed that the U.S.
forces withdrawal will be in time, with no bases to remain after that date.
*****Maliki rejected the establishment of any council that***** "contravenes with the constitution", *****in a reference to the talks *****on forming the Higher National Strategic Council.*****
On the Mobarak terminal, he confirmed that "we will oppose the damage but within right procedures adopted by international organizations", stressing it is "a national question, not minister's opinion".
