The official ministry spokesman Abdul Zahra al-Hindawi told a news briefing, "The Central Bureau of Statistics of the Ministry of Planning completed the inflation report for the month of October 2014 on the basis of field data collection for the prices of goods and services components of the consumer basket of selected sample of outlets in all governorates of Iraq." , noting that "these rates are calculated goods and services that food, rent, transportation, communications, health, education and other Iktnyh which include consumer."
Hindawi said that "the monthly inflation for the month of October rose by 0.4% due to the rise of some of some materials prices," he said, adding that "the annual inflation for the period from October 2013 until October 2014 increased by 1% as a result of rising housing department by 2%."
Hindawi pointed out that "the survey, which was conducted during the month of October did not include the four Iraqi provinces because of the security situation witnessed in these provinces," explaining that "the provinces not covered by the survey of prices included Nineveh, Salahuddin, Anbar, Kirkuk."
And announced the Center for Statistics and Information Technology through January 2012, it will begin using mechanization in the collection of the different prices and times specified time rather than paper form in place previously, emphasizing that it will contribute to the speed of price collection and accuracy, and correct calculation in case of errors.
