Economy and investment Commission announced in the House of representatives, Thursday, launching a plan to develop industry, agriculture, tourism and reduce dependence on oil to avoid exposure to the country's economic problems in the case of low world oil prices.
The Committee Member said Osman Tahir agency/information/, that "Iraq is still heavily dependent on oil for its economy, and this is wrong because of the exploitation of the private sector and other sectors such as agriculture, industry and tourism."
"The decline in oil prices affect the economy of the country as we noted recently how Iraq was affected by the decline, hence the importance of relying on a source other than oil", indicating that his Committee "recently discussed the importance of developing agriculture and industry and benefit".
