Baghdad/Obelisk: Iraqi oil Ministry held a Conference of Heads of District Councils and mayors to coordinate with local governments and expanding powers granted to them.
Attended the Conference held under the theme (a partnership of responsibility and achievement), Senior Adviser to Prime Minister thamir, the head of the Supreme Judicial Council judge Medhat Mahmoud.
Oil Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi at the Conference that all the representatives of the 15 governorates have attended the Conference, noting that a federal Iraq parliamentary system works to expand the powers of local governments.
