General Commander of the Armed Forces Office of the Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi said "legal procedures and Altaativeh for the formation of the National Guard make their way," he said.
According to a statement received by all of Iraq [where] a copy of it that these measures taking place "in coordination with the Ministry of defense and the popular crowd and the Committee for National Reconciliation in the confrontation with Daash areas and terrorist groups."
The statement pointed out that "these formations could be the nucleus of the National Guard when the adoption of legislation by the House of Representatives."
It is said that paper and the political agreement which resulted in the formation of the government headed by Haidar al-Abbadi included the formation of the National Guard in each Mhafezh.
