Peshmerga Controls 85% of Jalawla, Northeast Of Baquba

Baquba / NINA / A security source in Diyala said that 85% of Jalawla district, northeast of Baquba, was freed from the control of the (IS) organization.
The source told the correspondent of the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA / today that the Kurdish forces took control of five main areas within Jalawla after fierce battles with the elements of the (IS) and killed dozens of terrorists, including prominent leaders, noting that the Peshmerga forces continue to address the pockets of the remaining of the organization in some neighborhoods.
A security source in Diyala province said earlier today that the Peshmerga forces stormed three neighborhoods in Jalawla, northeast of Baquba, pointing out that Peshmerga forces are engaged in fierce street fighting with "IS" ./ End
