Cabinet approves Baghdad and Erbil agreement in the presence of al-Abadi and Barzani
The Cabinet approved on Tuesday to agree on a solution to the problems between the central and Kurdistan governments in the presence of Haider al-Abadi and Nechirvan Barzani.
The agreement to determine the percentage of allocations of federal land forces of the Iraqi army to the Peshmerga forces according to population ratio as part of the Iraqi security system, in addition to solving the problem of the export of oil.
The prime minister's office said Haider al-Abadi said in a press statement, "The cabinet decided during its meeting, approval of the agreement between the federal government and the Kurdistan Regional Government, which was attended by the Prime Minister of the Federal Haider Abadi and President of the Kurdistan Regional Government Nechirvan Barzani."
He Abadi Office, that "the agreement stipulates that the Iraqi oil belongs to all Iraqis and the Kurdistan region to hand over at least 250 000 barrels of oil per day to the federal government for the purpose of export."
He pointed out that, "The agreement also included the export of 300 000 barrels per day by the federal government of the province of Kirkuk oil fields through the pipeline in the province of Kurdistan."
He continued Abadi's office, "said the agreement on the allocation of a percentage of allocations of federal land forces of the Iraqi army to the Peshmerga forces according to population
ratio as part of the Iraqi security system."
