Parliament deducts 50,000 dinar per session from absentee MPs

(IraqiNews.com) On Wednesday, the Parliament House representative Niyazi Oghlu announced, that an amount of 50,000 dinar will be deducted from the salary of MP per every session they would not attend, and that there are 14 members who hadn’t shown up and might be soon replaced.
Oghlu has stated for IraqiNews that, “Parliament has decided to deduct an amount of 50,000 dinar from the salary of MP per every session they would miss, adding that there are 14 members of Parliament who hadn’t shown up yet and did not swear the oath, and they might be replaced after a period of time that has been given to them.
