KRG to Export Natural Gas Soon
The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) is reported to be planning to export natural gas to in the near future.
The head of the KRG’s Industry and Natural Resources Committee, Sherko Jawdat, told BasNews:
“This step is still in the beginning, but the process has not gone into the implementation stage yet, however establishing natural gas program is in our short term plan …
“This project has been discussed with KRG’s Natural Resources Minister and it has been translated into a decision, but serious steps remained to be taken.”
He added that the Kurdistan Region has 8.3 trillion cubic meter of natural gas reserves.
