Turkey to start buying Iraqi oil from the central government and Kurdistan
Taner Yildiz Turkish energy minister said on Thursday that the oil refiner Turkish Tupras began to buy shipments of Iraqi crude. He said in remarks to reporters during an energy conference that the Turkish purchases of Iraqi oil will come from the central government and Kurdish. On the other hand, Yildiz said that his country will invest $ 300 million deal with Royal Dutch Shell to search for natural gas and oil discoveries in the investigation after the Roman basin, adding that the excavation work will begin in January. He added that the construction of a planned Russian pipeline gas does not necessarily mean that Turkey will buy more supplies.
