The Ministry of Finance postpones cabinet discussion of the special budget session
BAGHDAD - ((eighth day)) Information Office of the Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi, announced Thursday, the Cabinet meeting regarding the postponement of the budget discussion, which was scheduled for today, attributing the reason for the delay to a new decline in oil prices. Office spokesman Sabri Saad said, "it was a cabinet session to postpone the discussion about the budget and approve the project, which was scheduled for Thursday to the next meeting of the Council of Ministers." Sabri said that "the delay was due to the new drop in oil prices in world markets," noting that "the Ministry of Finance requested a postponement of the budget discussion for a few days in order to be agreed on the price of a new speculative oil."
